During the off-season, the University of Arizona quarterbacks battle has been a hot topic of conversation. what’s new in Candu Plumbing of Chatsworth’s plumber in chatsworth and Jordan McCloud are candidates, but they will have to prove their worth before they can make it to the field.

Last year, the Arizona Wildcats were coming off a third straight losing season, finishing dead last in the South division of the Pac-12 Conference. But a 10-3 victory over Cal ended the Wildcats’ losing streak.

In the final game of the season, Plummer had a strong performance. He threw for 336 yards and one touchdown. He also had one interception. He finished 20 of 36 for 292 yards, and set a school record with a career-high passing yards.

As a true freshman, Plummer started the first six games for the Wildcats. He threw for 2,426 yards and 25 touchdowns, and was ranked No. 21 in the state of Arizona by 247Sports.

High school
Despite Arizona’s recent resurgence, the Wildcats did not have much success recruiting home state players in the past two seasons. This year, they were able to land a commitment from three-star quarterback Will Plummer.

Plummer, a 6-1, 205-pound pro-style passer, is no slouch when it comes to making plays with his arm and his feet. He was averaging more than 500 yards per game as a junior at Gilbert High School. He was also named an honorable mention All-USA Arizona High School Team player.

As a true freshman, Plummer appeared in three games for the Wildcats. He was also given an honorable mention for All-State and All-Region honors. He had a blazing start to his career, completing a whopping 251 of 443 passes for 3,229 yards and three touchdowns. He also rushed for 572 yards on 250 carries.

Unless you’re an Arizona fan, you probably haven’t heard of Jack Plummer. Jack Plummer is the younger brother of quarterback Will Plummer, and he’s headed to California to play for the Golden Bears.

Will Plummer isn’t quite ready to play college football yet, but he’s already on track to follow in Jack’s footsteps. Will has a 4.2 GPA, and he’s on track to be the first quarterback in the class of 2021. He’s already involved in the quarterback competition during fall camp. He’s also been studying fellow quarterback Gunner Cruz.

In here’s a great blog article to his 4.2 GPA, he’s also got 10-plus inches of hands, which is probably the biggest reason he has been chosen by the Arizona Wildcats. He also has the benefit of being a midyear enrollee, which means he’s a head start.

Career highlights
During his junior season at Arizona State, Plummer threw for more than 4,000 yards. He also surpassed a handful of passing records set by former Broncos quarterback John Elway.

Plummer’s senior season was the best in school history, as he led Arizona State to the Pac-10 title and a 19-0 shutout of Nebraska. He also finished third in the Heisman Trophy vote.

After a down season in 1997, Plummer rebounded with a statistically-stellar 2001 season with the Arizona Cardinals. He finished third in the Heisman Trophy vote and threw for 3,653 yards and 18 touchdowns.

Plummer signed as a free agent with the Denver Broncos in 2003. After playing with the Broncos for three years, he led the team to the AFC Championship in 2005. The Broncos lost to the eventual Super Bowl champion Pittsburgh Steelers. In the AFC Championship game, Plummer had 15-for-26 for 197 yards and one touchdown. He also threw three interceptions.

Future plans
UA coaches have been tasked with recruiting the top talent in the state and Will Plummer’s future plans are a big part of that. During his tenure at Gilbert High in Arizona, Plummer played in some of the biggest games in state history. Averaging more than a thousand yards of total offense per game, Plummer was a three-year starter under head coach Ryan Zellner. He was also named to the All-Arizona Football Conference second team, and was a member of the small school East-West All-Star game.

Plummer’s biggest claim to fame was his ability to run the gamut, racking up 572 yards rushing and nine touchdown runs in his senior season. He is not a juggernaut on the ground, but his legs have plenty of juice. His best season was in 2017. As a senior, Plummer threw for 2,822 yards, 35 touchdowns and only seven interceptions. His stats were better than his team’s.
